Thanks for the review, I missed out on the Limited edition. Ordered my AUS10 version from Midway USA. Everything is a tradeoff in the world of steel as you know and as I remind myself. AUS 10 sharpens more quickly than the CPM S35VN, but you have to sharpen more often. I would prefer S35VN, but AUS10 is fine and for this giant play thing - it is not a biggie for me. You got a great buy on limited addition with S35VN ! Cheers !

Build quality of this knife is terrible. DO NOT BUY. I tried 3 of them. There is a design flaw the blade hits the standoff when closed - resulting in a nick. Blade centering is terrible and there is a blade play, it runs on ultra cheap nylon washers. Scales have micro cracks where they drilled the screw holes. I've tried 3 of these - all of them had the same issues. As for the gold version, that coating wears off after 3-4 weeks of EDC. Also I've heard from a couple of other guys that torsion spring tends to break after a couple of months. Very nice looking knife but sadly it's SOG made in CHina.

You think it needs a thumb.knod on the blade.

Why no ambi clip on high-end knives? It cleans up the design a lot. To me, it's like old car door handles with locks compared to new ones.
